Pond preparation in Vannamei shrimp farming is explained in this video. Pond selection and preparation, which is the first step in shrimp farming, is very important. The pond should be dug to a depth of 6 feet in the area where there is water facility, transport facility and electricity facility. The pond should be arranged in a rectangle. Make sure there are no weeds along the dykes, in the bottom of the pond. The Pond soil should be tested, and make sure the pH is 7.5 to 8 pH. If the pH is low, agricultural lime should be given. Then flatten by a leveling machine. Bio-security such as net fencing and bird fencing should be provided to prevent frogs, snakes and other creatures from entering the pond. The next day the check tray bridge had to be built. Then fill the pond to a height of 5 feet and install aerators. The next day after the aerators are installed, the pond water should be bleached free from harmful larvae, algae and fungi. Application of vermicompost should be given to increase the formation of plankton in pond.
