Norman Maclean is Emeritus Professor in Genetics at Southampton University and a Patron of Humanists UK. He is one of our most popular speakers and his previous talks have included animal rights, human evolution, and the human brain.

In this talk he brings us up to date with what's happening to our planet and its wildlife. An authority on the subject, he edited and contributed chapters to 'Silent Summer: The State of Wildlife in Britain and Ireland' (Cambridge, 2010) with a foreword by Sir David Attenborough.

Dorset Humanists are a non-religious group of Humanists, Atheists & Agnostics who meet in Bournemouth, Dorset, England. www.dorsethumanists.co.uk
