Jose Marie "JM" Eslopor is a community development and environmental conservation advocate from Iloilo, Philippines. He is an alumnus of several Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) programs, focused on marine and environmental conservation, specifically youth and community involvement in environmental education in marine debris. He is currently on his second term as the country lead (representative) of the Philippines in the World Ocean Day Youth Advisory Council of The Ocean Project. He envisions to further working with coastal communities and improving the state of science communication and better implement issue-based and grassroots development strategies in addressing the effects of the climate crisis.
